Los Angeles, California --Officials with the Azusa Street Centennial,
scheduled for April 25-29, 2006 in Los Angeles, have released the slate of
featured speakers for the opening night of events of the historic gathering. The
list reads like a virtual “who’s who” of Pentecostal and Charismatic
personalities.
From Tuesday through Friday nights of the Centennial, simultaneous services will
be held at four venues across greater Los Angeles, including the Faith Dome,
Angelus Temple, Los Angeles Convention Center, and West Angeles Cathedral. The
services, which have specific themed emphases, will begin at 7:00 p.m.
On Tuesday April 25, 2006, the Faith Dome at Crenshaw Christian Center will host
the Azusa Street Believers Convention with the speaker to be Dr. Kenneth
Copeland of the Believer’s Voice of Victory program. At Angelus Temple a
“Dynamic Women in Ministry” conference will feature Paula White, televangelist
and co-pastor of the Church Without Walls congregation in Florida. An
international revival series of meetings will be held all week in the convention
center. The opening night speaker will be international evangelist Benny Hinn. A
final venue, West Angeles Cathedral, will host the series entitled William
Seymour Memorial Rallies. The guest speaker will be Rev. T.D. Jakes, pastor
of the Potter’s House in Dallas, Texas.
“This is arguably one of the most notable line-ups of Pentecostal and
Charismatic leaders to come together at one time; and on the same night,” stated
Rev. Billy Wilson, executive officer for the Centennial. “It will be difficult
to choose which one of these venues to attend!” Wilson went on to say that this
first night of speakers is just the beginning of what is fast-developing into
one of the most dynamic events of the modern Pentecostal and Charismatic
movement. It is being billed as, “The Spiritual Experience of a Lifetime.”
